5 REASONS 6-MONTHS BABY MILESTONE PHOTOS ARE A MUST
Are you cherishing the images from your newborn session, but ready to get some updated photos? You love seeing how little they were when they were first born, but now you are ready to capture your adorable baby at the new stage they are in.
Or, have you been feeling guilty because you forgot to schedule a newborn photo session? You really meant to, you even planned on doing it. But, life is hectic with a new baby and it just didn’t happen. That’s ok. You are not alone. And, while it might be too late for a newborn session it might be the perfect time for a 6 month milestone session.
This is a great time to capture images of your little one for the following reasons:
1. You can capture their personality
Newborns are precious, there is no doubt about it. But, you aren’t able to see the personality of a newborn in their images. They are sweet and small, but they pretty much eat and sleep. However, babies that are between the ages of 6 and 10 months old are full of personality. Some babies are more serious, some look like they own the room, and others are shy and full of smiles.
2. They are full of new expressions
Baby milestone sessions capture fun images because your baby is full of new expressions. It’s the perfect time to get portraits that show those pouty eyes or the mischievous smile. Their eyes are filled with wonder and excitement. They have found their voice and enjoy squealing with delight. At this age, their entire face shows their emotions. So, when they smile their entire face lights up.
3. They grow so fast!
When your little one hits this age they have already changed so much during the first several months of life. Doing a 6-months milestone session helps you to capture this stage in between being a newborn and a toddler. Before you know it you will be celebrating their 1st birthday and they will have changed so much from where they are today. You don’t want to miss the chance to preserve the way they look with their chubby little arms and legs.
4. They stay where you put them
During this stage babies are able to hold themselves up and sit themselves up, but they are not able to walk or crawl away. They stay where you put them. This makes it an easy time to capture them on film. They are not interested in getting away but are interested in the fun things that you place around them. Once they are passed the sitter stage you will have a very busy toddler on the go. At that stage, they don’t want to sit still for a picture because there is a whole world to explore.
5. They are easier to predict
Sessions are easier and faster for you when your baby is able to sit up on their own. You won’t have to spend your time chasing them around. It is also easier to schedule a session with an older baby because they tend to be on more of a schedule. Newborn babies are difficult to predict. Sessions can take longer due to needing to stop for feedings and diaper changes or to get them back to sleep. You will know what time to schedule your baby’s session so it will be around feedings and nap time.
