Darby and Rocky | Pet photographer Grand Junction
I am happy to announce that I am starting a new chapter in my life as a pet photographer Grand Junction.
Yes, the news is out! I am definitely gonna follow what my heart says and in addition to my newborn photography, I am opening the doors to your favorite 4-legged kiddos, as a pet photographer!
After lots of training, I am bringing you my first Fine Art Pet Photography session. Yes, you heard it right. Fine. Art. Which is what you and your favorite fuzzies get here at Csilla Leonard Fine Art Portraits.
Meet Darby and Rocky!
There is a reason why I choose them for this special session… actually there are many reasons:
- Their owners Carissa and Dan are dear friends of ours and are about to re-locate to Denver. I definitely wanted to make sure that they leave with some sweet artwork from Grand Junction to display in their new house on the front range.
- The puppies themselves are so special too! Rocky ( golden doodle) is a big helper of Dan (retired US Army) and I really love the bond they have! Derby is also their bestie and I loved seeing Carissa (also retired US Army ) walk her next to our house!
- PLUS! Believe it or not, I have the same roots with Darby. She is a puli! The Puli is a small-medium breed of Hungarian herding and livestock guarding dog known for its long, corded coat. (Red more about this super fun breed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puli ) So yes… we are from the same country! 🙂 and her look with her cords is so super fun!
To top it all off, on the day of the session Dan came with two awesome helpers! He brought his son, Matt and daughter, Ashlee to help out with the pups! Those kiddos love their dogs, of course… I was so inspired by their connection that we did an impromptu outfit change and decided to include them in the photos as well!
You wouldn’t believe the fun we had! Ashlee was wearing the puli like a shawl and they both just loved it. I am hearing it’s very typical of them to bond like that. : )
Matt just loved chilling with Rocky. Their bond is so amazing! You can clearly see the connection on the photos! ( and that’s what I am looking for, even as a pet photographer! )
Dan and Carissa, thank you so very much for trusting me with capturing these precious moments for You… and of course, thank you so much for your service for our great country!
I know you will enjoy your fine art pet portraits for many many years to come!
