Baby Zadie – Newborn Photographer Grand Junction CO
It is my absolute pleasure and honor to bring you Baby Zadie’s amazing story.
Right after I got connected with Mom, Nne, she proudly told me all about their beautiful journey up to the arrival of their precious Baby Girl.
Zadie was actually carried by a surrogate mom, Ashley.
( Just to clarify: Nowadays, science is able to implant a couple’s embryo and have a ‘gestational carrier’s body develop the baby. In the old days, the surrogate would bring their own egg, but that’s not the case anymore. It certainly isn’t for this couple. Baby Zadie, is 100% Rick and Nne’s biological baby that was ‘only’ carried by Ashley. Isn’t it amazing that we can help couples this way?)
Shortly after the parents-to-be registered at CSP – Center for Surrogate Parenting in Los Angeles, they got paired up with Ashley, in Grand Junction based on their psychological profile, views, beliefs and personalities.
Both of them were afraid the other party might not end up choosing them, but after an in-person meeting, it turned out that they got along perfectly and decided to move forward with the process and start the medical procedures.
Nine months later (and after a fairly easy pregnancy according to Ashley) Rick and Nne came back to Grand Junction to attend the birth of their Baby Girl at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
My heart was so full they told me their amazing story. I knew I wanted to create something extra special for them. <3
The parents wanted to make sure we have Ashley included in the images as well, since she is definitely a huge part of Baby Zadie’s life.
How did Ashley become a surrogate, you ask?
I have a quite a story for you:
After her first child was born, Ashley and her husband were looking for an option for her to be able to stay home with their son. While looking around for different options, Ashleys’s husband saw a post on Craigslist about being a surrogate. As a joke, he sent the link to Ashley and said:
‘Hey, you could do this. :)’
To his surprise, his wife said: ‘ Actually, I could…’
The more Ashley looked into it, the more she wanted to help someone create a family.
“I can’t imagine my life without my son and it broke my heart that others who were so deserving couldn’t achieve that themselves. I knew I couldn’t have a baby for everyone with struggles, but I could try and help one family bring their dream to reality. ” -said Ashley
After careful consideration, she registered with CSP and as they say, the rest is history.
The Baby Girl she carried forever changed the life of two wonderful parents and will bring a lifetime of joy and happiness to them.
