The best time to photograph your baby is usually within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are typically sleepier and easier to gently pose. However, every baby is different, and beautiful newborn portraits can be created beyond this timeframe as well. I recommend reaching out during your pregnancy so we can reserve a spot around your due date.

Don’t worry — your baby is in charge! My newborn sessions are relaxed and completely baby-led. We take plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and soothing breaks whenever needed. Some of the most beautiful images happen during those quiet awake moments too.
What happens if my baby doesn’t sleep during the session?

You don’t need to bring much! I provide all of the carefully selected wraps, blankets, props, and accessories for your baby. If there is a special item you would love included — such as a family heirloom, meaningful blanket, or keepsake — we can incorporate it into your portraits.

Absolutely. Your baby’s first portraits are also about your family’s story. I love creating timeless images of parents, siblings, and the special connections that make your family unique.
If you have a furry family member at home, they are welcome to be part of the session as well. Including pets in newborn portraits is a beautiful way to capture the complete story of your family and the bond they already share with your new baby.

Newborn sessions are designed to be relaxed and unhurried. Most sessions take about 2–4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, comforting, and creating a variety of beautiful portraits without rushing your baby.

After your session, we will meet for your Reveal Appointment where you’ll see your images and choose the artwork and collections that best fit your family. Digital images are included with your chosen collection.
