Harrison’s senior session was the kind of experience that reminds me why I adore photographing people at such meaningful milestones. I don’t take on senior sessions very often, but after spending an afternoon with Harrison, I’m seriously thinking that needs to change. His easygoing personality, natural confidence, and the effortless fun he brought to every setup made this session one I’ll remember for a long time.
We started among the golden fall leaves of Grand Junction, Colorado, where the light was doing all the right things. Harrison showed up with his vintage-style bike, and the moment he rolled it onto the path, I knew we were going to create something special. The soft, warm tones of autumn wrapped perfectly around his relaxed vibe. This part of the session felt like capturing a slice of who he is right now—laid back, genuine, and ready to take on the world at his own pace.

Then came the suit, and wow—Harrison can pull off polished and professional just as easily as casual and cool. On the bridge, surrounded by glowing fall colors, he looked every bit the confident young man stepping into his next chapter. His smile stayed constant through the entire session, and it’s the kind of smile that makes photographing someone feel effortless.

And of course, we couldn’t skip the part of Harrison’s life that means so much to him—music. When he held up his custom drumsticks, engraved with his name and graduation year, it was such a proud and meaningful moment. You could practically feel the rhythm of everything he’s worked toward and everything he’s aiming for next.

I’m always honored when families trust me to capture milestones like this. Senior year is such a unique moment—a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and possibility—and Harrison brought all of that with him. Sessions like his remind me how much joy there is in photographing young people right on the brink of something new.
So yes… I may be adding a few more senior sessions to my schedule in the future. If they’re anything like Harrison’s, I’m all in.
Until next time,
Csilla
